Due to investment in workshop capability for our own machines, this service; previously only available to our motorcycle customers; is now available even if you haven’t bought a bike from CSB.
Many years of experience have shown us that Classic Bikes have underlying problems and we have learned how to identify and remedy these problems at source rather than making do with workaround “fixes” . The tried and tested approach to this is a thorough survey prior to agreeing scope of work with the customer . This establishes factual condition right up front and reduces unexpected costs after work has begun . The survey is in reality the first part of any effective repair and therefore deductable from any final repair bill . This sets a level of agreement and communication which will be maintained throughout any repair or maintenance process to ensure expectations are met with no surprises .
Team: Our team have ridden and worked on all types of motorcycles; competition, road and off road machines for many years spanning generations of motorcycles from all over the world .
Approach: We take a systematic, intelligent, considered and planned approach to working on your machine . We do not bodge or short cut, we do it properly or not at all and therefore will not usually work to deadlines unless self-imposed .
Facilities: Our bespoke workshop is clean, efficient and boasts Special Tools, Diagnostic and Troubleshooting capabilities, an extensive Technical Documentation Library and machining facilities .
Parts: We only use the best suppliers of New Old Stock (NOS), new remanufactured and used genuine parts including some rare genuine used parts from our own stock . We also have engineering expertise and facilities for manufacturing unobtainable parts .
Technical Survey and Report:
The initial cost of the Survey Report is based on time taken and will be specific to your machine but it’s usually a day’s work charged at £250.
This report should be considered an investment which will add value to your machine whether or not further work is required. It establishes a known level of condition supported by photographs and measurements, and of course minor corrections/ adjustments would be made during the course of the investigation.
Following the initial survey and report the full attention of our Workshop Services team is available to work on your machine. This workwill typically fall into the following catagories and will be quoted for individually :
- Repair (if it’s broken)
- Overhaul (if it’s tired)
- Enhancement (performance upgrade or full restoration)
