Available soon…Rare R80GS “Basic” model with a host of proven modifications to improve world-touring capablilties. This UK registered machine (1999) was built by Dave Wyndham’s CW Motorcycles around 2005, when they were also building bikes for Ted Simon to go around the world. With only about 40k miles recorded on the km clock, the engine has been treated to a Siedenrock 1000cc conversion with twin-plugged 80GS heads, new coils and R100GS final drive ratio. The perfect combination and you’ll understand when you ride it, how the best of both worlds really is possible. Smooth and powerfult it is, big and heavy it is not. Huge spec on this machine which would cost twice this price to build and should prove an excellent investment as well as lots of fun. Full BMW service history, HPN 45 litre tank, Ohlins rear suspension and full length spring conversion up front. Brembo four-piston front brake, low front mudguard, stainless exhaust y-piece and silencer, LED bulbs and huge service history. Recently fully serviced by CW which included everything you could possibly change/adjust including new Tourance tyres; invoice for over £1,600 on file. And it shows; listen to the engine idle so smoothly and to ride is to appreciate how good a boxer twin can be. Ready to go around the world? This is if you are…returning to stock soon having covered 65,737 km now.
