Genuine LR Fastback, two owners from new, good history.

This machine is largely unrestored; believe it or not. The tank has been painted and wheels and spokes are stainless replacements but the frame, Fastback tailpiece and sidepanels are unrestored. The seat is reportedly original and certainly looks like it. One owner recorded since new in 1972 to 2010 and one owner since then, who has spent vast amounts of time, money and love on this bike over the last six years. This included a complete engine rebuild in 2011, less than a thousand miles ago, by Norman White Engineering at Thruxton. In fact Norman has looked after the machine since the engine was rebuilt and there are invoices on file for his work and genuine Norton parts well in excess of £7,000 and counting. Fitted with electronic ignition and just fine-tuned by Classic Bike Workshop, it really is in fine fettle. The bike was ridden over to us by the last owner who very much enjoyed his last ride on her. Lots of documents on file including confirmation it is a real LR Fastback manufactuired late 1971 and first registered in 1972, manuals, books and parts catalogues in a huge box file along with some spare gaskets which you are very unlikely to need for a long time. Quite exceptional.
