Two owners from new, completely restored using only the best parts rebuilt by skilled people with specialist knowledge.

The V5C for HU5989; which is transferable; clearly shows the first registered keeper owned this lovely 350cc sports Sunbeam from 24th April 1926 to 6th March 1985. We know from the second and last owner that it was spapped for Vincent spares, and since then has undergone an exhaustive and meticulous restoration with remarkable attention to detail. The end result is a machine; obviously matching numbers all round; which is very true to original condition with much hand painting and thoughful use of old refurbished parts. The restoration was carried out with advice from Archie Beggs, who also supplied some of the new parts such as saddle. The leather panniers have been beautifully reproduced. The magneto was rebuilt by Dave Lindsley who remarked on it’s exceptional condition – nickel plated of course. The list goes on; new cylinder took years to source and is matched perfectly with a new piston and rings from a later engine. All new bearings and seals, carburetor rebfurbished as indeed has everything been. Less than a mile since rebuild; you can still see the new grease oozing from every link in the perfectly shimmed girder forks; this fine machine will need running in carefully to give years of good service. If you can work out all the levers that is! We love it.
