Ducati 239 Café Racer

A lovely example of Ducati's renowned single cylinder machines, this little "250" is actually 239cc produced for the French market to come in under a 240cc tax break in the mid 1970s. At this time the Ducati factory had it's problems and the single cylinder models were about to be dropped from production, so this represents the highest level of development of the non-desmo engine. This makes it an attractive proposition, all the panache but none of the complexity of the desmodromic valve gear in a lightweight sure handling package. This bike has had new rear sets and an exhaust recently, and is in excellent order throughout. Just look at it!
