BMW R80 GS

First registered in November 1983, this lovely R80GS has had nine owners from new. The most recent owner treated the bike to some new parts including headlight and instruments, rear shock (remote reservoir upgrade was an option) and bushes, centre stand and swing arm bearing. This is a very rare early example; the first of the iconic GS range; and turns heads wherever it goes. The engine sounds sweet, starts easily, idles smoothly and performs smokelessly well. Cosmetically original and better than most, but could be improved with light restoration. The front end could probably do with some attention to bring up to the standard of the refurbished rear suspension, but she rides well enough. I would not advise off-roading in current fettle however!
