Royal Enfield Continental GT

Concours 1966 Royal Enfield GT Continental 250cc single with 4-speed gearbox. This machine has been extensively restored using original parts and those purchased from Hitchcock Motorcycles. The frame, tank, mudguards and battery cover (Gaunt & Gray of London) have all been professionally finished to a very high standard. All chrome and alloy is in great condition. The engine was stripped and examined by Mr C R Tew of Alcester (advertised and recommended in owners club magazine), who cleaned out all oil ways and replaced worn parts accordingly. Nearly £500 spent recently on the engine including new valves, guides and springs. New carb and clutch plates have also been fitted recently, and the engine is oil tight. The Avon tyres are in good condition, and the bike rides well on the road. A large collection of receipts for parts, the manuals and a rare original sales brochure included in this sale. Rare, original and very desireable in this condition.
