BMW K75S
An unusual and in many ways a very attractive example of BMW’s sweet 750cc triple in fine recommissioned condition with an interesting history. One London owner from new in 1986 to 2020 when the second and only other owner undertook a complete recommissioning project over a number of years. 10k of the 13k miles were covered in the first six years and every MOT certificate is on file to tell the story. Old and new Registration Documents confirm original numbers and only one previous owner. Looks like it was a working bike, there is a good documented service history, but may have been stored outside or under a cover maybe? Clearly not in great cosmetic shape when our last owner took it on and you can see by the opaque screen that the elements have taken their toll in the later years of the first ownership. Our second owner did everything himself by hand, including the paint, re-finishing the wheels, engine cases and virtually all the fittings you can see. He replaced bearings and seals, rebuilt brakes and replaced tyres. It really is an amazing result and you can’t fault the workmanship… but it is HAND PAINTED. Get over that and it is an exceptional example of the simplest (and best we think) K75S model ever produced. No ABS, simple clean looks, relatively light weight and excellent smooth performance. Compared to some later examples I’ve ridden it is a joy on the road and likely to provide reliable performance without the electronics associated with the early ABS systems. The engine certainly sounds and feels like the low mileage well-cared for machine it is. But it is HAND PAINTED.
