A very, very well sorted classic BMW tourer prepared for miles.

Recently serviced back to life after arriving here in less-than-enjoyable condition and taken on by a friend of ours who has given it a lot of time and attention to great effect, with much of the rebuild work undertaken by Andrew Sexton. The bike is transformed and rides really well, engine sounds and performs lovely, brakes all rebuilt and do their job beyond expectations. The fullest of services has been carried out including changing gearbox/bevel/drive shaft oils, plugs (for of them; it’s got twin plug cylinder heads), valves adjusted, carbs cleaned and balanced, ignition timing checked and set etc. etc. Lots of new parts too, like grommets and rubbers and nuts and bolts; battery box mounts and fairing mountings for instance; all sorted. New tyres, full luggage set including a rare small topbox, tools and spare keys are all there, it’s even got a working intercom system fitted. It’s been ridden and enjoyed this summer as the work has been done; not so many miles but enjoyable miles; then other bikes came along and it wasn’t being used, so replaced with the next challenge. The purple paint is lovely except where it’s taken a knock and been resprayed in parts on the right side but the colour match is perfect. Nice big document file with old MOTs lots of parts invoices, owner’s manual andspare keys. Long MOT, low miles and well prepared to enjoy some miles in comfort and safety.
