Matching numbers UK machine that has been used recently but stood for a while before we initially acquired it. This is a largely unrestored bike with ownership history and original handbook. Frame number and engine number provided on request, it checks out with the production records in the authoritative books we all read and it appears to have remained in standard specification throughout (although the mirrors are missing) with a refreshing lack of replica parts. As you can hear the engine is mechanically quiet and clean-running, idling really smoothly. A little attention to the accelerator pumps on those huge carbs would improve pickup and there will be a few jobs like this to do, broadly falling into the category of recommissioning rather than restoration, although it will be a prime resto candidate in years to come. As it is it’s clearly a good running example in largely original condition to ride or restore as the last mature owner will confirm. The last owner will also confirm that it was a bike of his dreams and the reality is slightly larger and heavier than remembered or imagined! The three additional pictures show the centre stand has been replaced and a side stand added, a new pair of tyres have been fitted and a very handy grab-rail to make life easy. Please call if interested and we’ll firm up on delivery options.
