Norton International
Norton’s bevel driven overhead cam single; 1955 model registered late 1954.
A very nice older restoration, matching numbers, original registration and only two former keepers in the log book. This machine has covered very few miles since being completely rebuilt and restored, retaining most of the original parts like wheel rims, horn and most of the tinware. Now out of the workshop after a thorough inspection and removal of the old tank liner which had deteriorated with the effects of age and modern fuel. We have looked in the engine and all seems well; bevels shimmed to perfection, very little wear except to one oldham coupling which you might just pick up on the video? In fact the video overstates the engine noise and smoking which are not excessive but did seem worth investigation. Now the tank and carb are clean inside this bike will want riding and a proper clean and tidy to bring back to it’s best. Which is pretty damn good. Further recent inspection has revealed hairline cracks on the headstock frame gussets; picutures on request; in the light of which sensible offers will be considered.
