Norton Interpol 2 ex-RAC machine receiving TLC, watch this space…

Only two former keepers on the V5 and 31k recorded miles suggest this is a low mileage machine with good history but the pictures tell another story. The last owner was told the engine had been “mollied” but there is no evidence of this in the usual places although the engine turns healthily and may be running very soon. The bike was registered to the RAC between 1985 and 1992 so it may be higher mileage but may also have been maintained well. On the positive side recommissioning is going very well, replacement instruments and exhausts have already been procured for whoever takes on this interesting restoration project. And remember, most parts are available from Andover Norton or easily found on eBay for very little money. It will be worth it; these things are rare and cherished in restored condition and provide miles of excellent practical motorcycling in a way only the Norton air cooled rotary can. Price depends on how far we get before someone stops us and how good it is when it’s running but it’s running nicely now and almost ready for an MOT. Held and sold subject to MOT pass.
