Restored early 1990s, hardly used since and just recommissioned ready for the road.

A lovely 1956 500cc twin, first registered on 30th July 1956 with an interesting registration number if you work for Glaxo SmithKline. It’s non-transferable. This bike is in excellent restored condition, although the restoration work and a full engine rebuild was completed between 1990 and 1992 according to the stack of invoices for parts and services used at the time.
Not perfect by any means but very pleasant and well priced for a recently (in mileage terms) restored machine which has some attractive patina and runs very well indeed. Recent new parts include a refurbished competition Magneto, service parts and the bike will have a new set of decals on the sidepanels and other areas to bring back to standard specification. We have also just had the top off the engine to replace pushrod tube seals and gaskets to make it oil-tight. Looks good in there.
